No calves today, was just feeling too wiped by the end of the workout. Instead I focused on chest, tri’s and some abs at the end.
The two chest exercises I did were 1) bench press 2) incline bench press starting with 135 and moving up to 185 for around 10 reps on the flat bench and sticking with 135 the entire time for the incline.
I did some triceps pushdowns with the rope attachment and some one-armed reverse grip pushdowns on the universal machine with not so terribly heavy weight. Did get the burns though, which is the most important thing.
I finished off with three abs exercises, starting with lying leg lifts, scissors, and vacuums at the end. I’m mixing it up with more ab work because my mid-section is all flabby and more so than looks, it’s weak and needs to catch up in order for me to get the most out of my workouts.
After the workout, we shot the shit a little bit about all these cases of covid vax myocarditis, where you have multiple soccer players dropping like flies mere days after getting the vax, clutching their chest and what not. There are other cases of this happening among young kids, which is a travesty, and yet parents are keeping their mouths shut like they mustn’t speak negatively about the vax or their heads going to explode or something. It’s freaking bizarre.
Then, there was this ridiculous news story attempting to racialize mountain climbing. After that, we finished up with a serious talk about the dangers of communism because these knuckleheads coming out of the universities need to hear this. I give my first-hand experience.
