Morning Workouts, Motivation, Inflation, Comic Book Influences On Future Bodybuilders

I love morning workouts now, but hated them in the past. When you have to wake up super early, drive out to the gym, get your workout in, drive back, and then get ready for work, it leaves precious little time to get all of that stuff done before you have to actually drive to work, not get caught in traffic and not be late.

It was always cutting it too close for me. I would keep looking at the clock and not be able to fully relax because I’d be worried about getting to work. I’d also be thinking about work and things I would have to do once I got there, which does not make for a good workout, believe me!

But my morning workouts now are totally different because it takes me all of one minute to get to the gym. This is because the gym is in my house!

I work out in my own home gym downstairs in the basement, which makes things a whole lot easier than before. It’s a makeshift home gym with lots of cheap, home gym equipment I bought off Amazon. It’s definitely not the same quality as what you would get at a commercial gym, but it’s not bad by any means and I still get great pumps!

But, the key is motivation and waking up early in order to get that workout in. I’ve found that those early morning hours are like gold because the whole house is asleep and you can focus on your goals without any distractions whatsoever. I love that quiet time in the morning and, for me, it’s easy to get out of bed now because if for any reason I don’t have that time alone, I feel like something is missing.

I’ve come to rely on it now. It gives me peace and sanity in a chaotic world. Plus, by the time I get home from work, there are too many things vying for my attention that it’s very difficult to work out. I’d have to tune it all out, which is hard. You can’t ignore your family because you want to get a chest workout in. Suddenly, you look like a selfish prick who’s neglecting his responsibilities. Do you know what I mean?

Anyways, check out the podcast. We talk about morning workouts, motivation, and get into stuff that’s in the news, like inflation and how it impacts bodybuilders especially. We also talk about comic book superheroes that influenced us to want to grow up to become yoked and muscular!

God bless,
