Almost Injured Myself Today, Back Injury Story, Disgusting Pro-Vax Propaganda

I almost injured myself today when I was trying to re-rack the weight on the bench press. It kind of spooked me and put me in state of fear for a minute, which is never good when you’re trying to utilize your testosterone levels to lift weights.

What happened was, the whole rack pushed back because there was no weight on the bottom, or sand bags or anything. So, I got the bar back on one rung, but not the other. I had to throw my weight using my leg to get the bar back on the other rung because it was further back. Very dangerous situation.

If I hadn’t been able to do this, I would have had to slowly rest 185 pounds on my torso until I could wriggle out from under it. And the bar might’ve ended up on my neck, if I wasn’t careful about it.

I also realized that I had my bench press set up all wrong. I was using the safety bar to rack the weight when I should have been using it on the bottom, under the rungs that were supposed to be used to lift the weight off. So, yeah, this could’ve turned out very badly.

I’ve injured myself before and a lot of times, it takes a while to recover, depending on how bad the injury is. I once injured my low back when this dumbass at the gym challenged me to squat 550 on the smith machine. But, as it turned out, I was the dumbass. I tell the whole story in this episode of the podcast.
